Usually the 4th of the July weekend are kind of boring for me, not a lot to do and get to see long boring parades. This year was different, no the parade was still long and boring, but the exciting part of the weekend (besides being with my wife and kids) was that I got to see World War II B-17 Flying Fortress up close and personal. Was so cool to see the plane and be inside it, and to take pictures of it flying, didn't quite get the opportunity to go for a flight in it.

Especially since the cost of the flight was about the same as what it would be to fly to Ireland, and as much as I would have loved to do it, some how flying for 30mins around Lake Michigan just didn't seem worth it. Even if it was going to be inside a B-17, nope seeing it flying around the area and taking pictures was well worth the trip home for 4th July weekend.

May be next year it will be back and I may change my mind about doing that fly around the lake....hehehe.
