Well my Mum and Dad arrived over here on the 6th and we spent time in Chicago with them, went to Max and Ermas with them and my wife's uncle and aunt that Thursday night. Food was not the greatest, but the company was great. Went back the hotel that we stayed at, which was La Quinta right off I90 in Barrington Lakes.

The following day we drove to Shedds in downtown Chicago, which was a scarey enough trip for me, because i have never driven downtown Chicago. Turned out to be okay though, had a great navigator in my wife and she got me down to Shedd. Although, I have to admit that I didn't listen to the directions as we got there, and end up driving down one part of Lakeshore drive and gave my parents a tour of the lake going left on Lakeshore from Roosevelt. :). Which was okay, because the return trip meant they got to see the other side of lakeshore drive as we came back towards Shedds. At the end of it all we eventually found parking and got to see the fishes in Shedds.

I have to say that it is great place to go, but way way over priced at $25 per head....must be a Chicago thing.

We joked with my parents about the weather, because from Friday through Sunday evening we had nothing but rain, with really bad storms on Saturday morning and Sunday night. Josh's dedication took place on Sunday and Jenny's family came into town for it, the service was brillant and the pastor did a great job. Which brought tears to my wife, because it was the pastor's last real service at our church as he is retiring at the end of this month.

So overall a pretty busy weekend. :)
